- Appointments will be staggered and longer so that we can practice ‘social distancing’ and have extra time to make sure that each room is thoroughly cleaned between patients according to OSHA guidelines
- Forms (consent forms and patient paperwork) will be available online only. We prefer you use your own cell phone or computer to complete these documents, but we will have tablets available if needed (which will be sanitized after each use)
- Screenings for COVID-19 symptoms will be conducted at various times (over the phone, online and in person) and will include obtaining a temperature of each patient and accompanying guardian.
- Chairs in the waiting area and optical are 6 feet apart, thus accommodating a smaller amount of people. We encourage you to wait outside or in your car as much as possible.
- We ask that you wash your hands or use hand sanitizer when you enter the office. Hand sanitizer is available at multiple locations throughout the office.
- Isolation barriers have been installed at the reception desks.
- All common areas, counters, treatment rooms, equipment, optical and frames will be wiped down with EPA approved disinfectant in between each patient and throughout the day.
- Please call to schedule glasses adjustments to allow us to provide social distancing for all patients.
- Glasses or contact lenses will now be delivered curb-side. Please call us when you arrive and we will bring them out to you.
In order to best serve our patients, we need to make sure that our staff members are kept safe and healthy. You will find that Dr. Fuemmeler and staff members will:
- Wipe down all surfaces with disinfectant (both treatment and non-treatment rooms) on a routine basis.
- Have the appropriate personal protection equipment.
- Check symptoms and temperature daily to ensure staff members are not reporting to work when symptoms are present.
- Will be positioned to accommodate social distancing as much as possible.
We ask our patients and families for the following considerations:
- We ask that only the patient (and 1 parent/ guardian or true care giver if necessary) enter the office.
- Please call and reschedule your appointment if you or any family member:
- has had any recent travel outside of the country in the past 14 days.
- has come into recent contact with anyone who is suspected positive or has tested positive for COVID-19.
- is feeling ill
- Please wear face masks when coming into our office.
- Please call us from your car when you arrive. We will check you in from your car and invite you in for your appointment.
- We encourage the use of payment with Apple Pay or Google Pay, although we are still taking payment via cash, check or credit card.
We hope our efforts help put you at ease.
